Fun at the Great Wall!

On Saturday we interns accompanied a ch*rch team on their tour of the Great Wall. Even though I saw it on our trip two years ago, it was definitely on my list of must-do things this summer and I was so happy we got to go! Despite the six hours round-trip it took to get there and the sweltering heat at the top of the wall, we had a BLAST! Enjoy the pictures (you know me...there are a lot of them!) :)

A woman came up to us and asked for a picture with her son. He didn't look too happy at her request to have us hold him! Can anyone say "awkward"?

So happy that we could do "civilized sightseeing" here. Wonder what uncivilized looks like?

The signs for the toboggan (which you take down from the wall) kept us laughing all the way through the long line. One said do not receive phone calls on the way down, others warned us that the driver to the back is always responsible in case of collision, and others said that tobogganing is both "dangerous" and "simple". Too funny!

The group ahead of us kept going slow so we'd be able to cruise really fast for awhile and then we'd suddenly have to stop and there would be a huge back-up of toboggans bumping into each other.
